We have been in the Arcadian Centre, in the heart of Birmingham's Chinatown, since 2000. Our cooking is a fusion of Chinese and Vietnamese, and we take real care over dietary requirements: there is a full meat and seafood menu, a full vegetarian menu with plenty of vegan choices, and gluten-free options too. Everything is cooked fresh to order.

Some things we simply will not buy in. Our soya milk and soya dessert, the tofu fa, are made fresh every day, and so are our broad rice noodles and Vietnamese steamrolls, the cheung fun. Then it is hot broth big bowl soup noodles, fried rice, stir-fry hot pots and stir-fry noodle dishes, served in portions that are meant to fill you up.
We make our own soya milk fresh every day, and a lemon iced tea goes well with a bowl of noodles. Desserts sit on the same page, including our daily-made tofu fa. If you cannot stay, everything works as takeaway, and we deliver too.

The room is small, bright and easy: plain wooden tables by the windows, paper lanterns and string lights, tables close together. Regulars, students and city workers sit side by side, and most bowls arrive within minutes. Come hungry, eat well, and do not worry about dressing up.

Regulars who have eaten here for years say the standard has never dropped: the food stays authentic and full of flavour, the portions are big, and the prices feel fair for what arrives.
